Open House
OPEN HOUSE—Monday, Feb. 9th, 7PM, Duck Club
The South Coast chapter will be hosting an informal Open House on its regular 2nd Monday meeting night date; Feb. 9th, at 7PM. We have been wanting to do this in an effort to familiarize our membership on not only our local chapter’s programs but also to overview state-wide initiatives. Fish conservation issues can be complex and there is only so much we can do on a local level.
But, as one old politician said, “All politics are local.” By collaborating with new engaged members, as well as other groups and agencies, we can present a powerful voice from which to be heard. We need to know—‘take the pulse’, of what our membership wants. By hosting open discussions, new ideas and approaches emerge and may bring fresher perspectives, make us more effective and help enjoy the volunteer/activist experience in a more rewarding way.
We will be offering a free raffle for first time-participants and a prize for ‘best new idea’. Bring your fishing stories & info, too! if you are willing to share, there is a wealth of information on where to go, when, what gear, etc.
We look forward to seeing you. Maps to Duck Club found on “Join Us/Meetings’ tab.
